What is 4K?

Just view at the illustration above, 4K (also known as UltraHD) is four times the resolution as 1080 (BluRay resolution).

What’s so special about 4K?

It has amazingly life-like picture quality. Once you see it in person, you would understand. It is filmed with special cameras (Sony F65) that shoot at this massive resolution in 16bit RAW. It is currently being used in Hollywood and Bollywod for 4K films just to name a few Lucy, Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom, Oblivion, No Good Deed, Evil Dead, Rebel City Rumble, About Last Night, Tomorrowland, Ex Machina, The Wedding Ringer, Lucy.

What’s wrong with HD?

Nothing, it has become more commonplace. As technology changed from VHS to DVD to Blu-ray, people and production companies adopted to the market. We are going through the same cycle with 4K technology. 4K TV’s are in the market and are expected to be norm by 2018/2019.

How do we deliver 4K to a client in a finished format?

Delivery with all of our services, is available on DVD, Blu-Ray, Hard Drives and Web. 4K Blu-ray discs and player are expected to be available by 2015 and at that point we will re-master the project in full 4K for home delivery. Many have gone through similar phase with non HD to HD and some opted out and later wished if it was filmed in HD.

Can we expect to see 4K content at your studio?
